Belated

My moms birthday was yesterday and I had a busy day so I didn't get a chance to post a little Happy Birthday wish. (bad daughter) All I can say is that I love her very much and I hope to grow up someday and be just like her:)

We had a nice night last night and celebrated with appetizers from one of our favorite restaurant & a little wine. We were given some good news from her doctor on Thursday before she started her third treatment. Good news finally and we are all thrilled so she asked if she could have a little wine on her birthday and he gave her the thumbs up! It's only been a little over three months from her diagnosis but it seems so much longer than that. She has been through a lot and is continuing to stay positive and very, very strong. She is amazing.

Also her best friend gave her a very nice gift that I also will benefit from. A suite in this hotel
and three front row seats to see him perform. I was super excited. I have loved him since his days as Noah Drake on General Hospital. My mom and sister have seen him before but I missed out so now I get my chance. It will be in September & I'm so looking forward to it. It was a wonderful gift, really it is the best gift for us right now. Just to spend time together and have FUN!

Outside My Window... Birds chirping & kids laughing.

I am thinking.... I hope the guy that is coming to fix my washing machine doesn't keep me waiting all day. (11-3 - come on)

I am thankful for...my family & friends.

From the kitchen...thawing a piece of chicken for lunch.

I am wearing... jean shorts & green t-shirt, flip flops.

I am creating...a layout of Spence.

I am going... to sit outside later while Spence plays.

I am hearing... lazy summer day noise, it's the best.

Around the house...clean & organized for today. I will have a lot of laundry to catch up on after the machine gets fixed. Spence is drawing & Daisy Dog is napping in the warm summer sun.

One of my favorite things...is reading books side by side with Spence. I love it when he stops to tell me what is going on in his book. He loves to read.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Wednesday, Thursday, Friday work. Friday night dinner with mom for her birthday. A beach trip this weekend.

Happy Fathers Day weekend

In honor of Fathers Day I did a quick layout last night. Bill & Spence at Christmas last year. I refer to them as "The Boy's" and Daisy and I are "The Girls" - ha ha.

Bill is a great father and him and Spence have a really close relationship. They are pals.

Tomorrow we are going to see a movie and lunch and then just relax at home. He works very long hours so by Sunday he is spent and needs to just chill.

Me & Grammy

Just a quick layout I did the other day of my mom and Spence....

It's Tuesday morning I'm killing time before I go to the gym and take Spence to Kid's Club. He is not to fond of this Kid's Club because it's smaller than our other gym where we used to go and there are a lot of little kids as opposed to big kids like him. And the other one had one of those germ infested jungle gym things - hate those things.

After the gym we are going to enjoy a day together and I'm hoping the sun will come out so I can spend some time outside without being super cold.

It's begining to look a lot like summer.....

This is what makes it feel like summer to me. My favorite band COUNTING CROWS is coming to SoCal and in my neck of the woods.

July 22nd will be a special night. Last year the show we were seeing was canceled due to illness and I cried like a baby. It has become a tradition for Bill and I to try and see them during the summer - ideally it would be outdoors but this venue is absolutely perfect - not too big. 12th row center is the tickets we were able to get & I'm happy with that. After canceling our trip to PS for our anniversary we are going to treat ourselves. We don't go out EVER (seriously) so we will enjoy this night. Sister Deb is coming too!

So you would think it is starting to look like summer but here it is gloomy - BIG TIME! and freezing. So I'm whipping up some turkey chili for dinner and Spence & I are crafting. I have been going through all of my pictures and have finally uploaded about 50 to Shutterfly that I will have this week. But for now here are a few I'm going to work on........

This was taken in 2005 - since then blankie has been lost twice and unfortunately only found once. We left her in Mexico last year on our trip. Every now and then he will bring it up. The other day in fact he said blankie is probably swimming in the ocean. I said "maybe she is sipping margaritas by the pool" oh the life that blankie must be living:) It was his favorite and I have a MILLION photo's of it.

I'm off to try & be creative...wish me luck!
